Forest Fire Lasts to Rage in Soon Valley, Pakistan

The District Emergency Officer reported that the wildfire in the Soon Valley forest remains uncontrolled. The fire, which started yesterday at Dhoke Miani, has postured severe threats to wildlife and has already scorched thousands of trees to ashes.

Efforts to extinguish the fire are continuing for the second day, but the blaze persists. Terribly, a forestry department employee lost his life while fighting the flames. The Pakistan Air Force has deployed helicopters to contribute in firefighting operations.
